Peruvian squid producer acquires U.S. company

Recently, Peruvian fishing company Oceano Corp completed the acquisition of American squid supplier Sea Fresh U.S.A. Antarctica Advisors acted as the intermediary for this round of transaction.


Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Rhode Island, USA, Sea Fresh owns and operates its vessels and a loading dock in the fishing village of Galilee in southern Rhode Island. The company also has a British Retail Federation-approved squid processing facility. factory.


Peruvian Oceano Corp is a large fishing company with annual revenue of about US$400 million. The company operates five plants in Latin American countries processing Humboldt squid and Peruvian giant squid products, as well as one plant in South Africa. Oceano owns a logistics company, Bluefish Oceanmar, an ocean seafood trading company, and value-added product brand Oceano Foods.



Sea Fresh owner James Fox said in a statement: "Oceano has been a customer of ours for many years and we are delighted to be their first acquisition in the US market."
